About the Club

The Heart of Illinois (HOI) Crappie Club was started over a decade ago by club member, Tim Hanauer. He originally created the club for only a few avid crappie anglers to competitively fish in their spare time. Today, HOI Crappie Club has shown great promise and growth with the numbers to back it up.

  • After starting out with only a few members, they now have over 80 club members - and still growing.

  • A larger group of expert anglers means more opportunities for competitive fishing. HOI Crappie Club holds 11 tournaments throughout the season.

  • Professional and competitive anglers need the best tools and businesses look for organizations to promote their brands. Over 25 loyal businesses sponsor and make generous donations to the club.

  • Popularity and success speak volumes, and this club has a following of over 2,000 people who are eager to learn.
